Rocado Shell Cordovan is a vegetable-tanned equine leather cut from the rear of the horse. Technically it is the connective tissue beneath the hide. As such, only two small hides are acquired per horse. The quality of cordovan leather is unparalleled, known for its smooth finish and tight fibers that allow it to survive daily wear and tear. This particular variant has a marbled finish that results in every panel being unique.
Rocado are world-renowned for their shell cordovan, using an age-old method to tan their hides. Rocado is located in Tuscany, Italy
